Plumbing and hot water, neatly connected
From water pipes to taps and from water heater to bathroom: plumbing is the other half of our trade. And good hot water production is closely tied to your heating.
- Water heaters and solar water heaters
- Water and waste pipes
- Taps, toilets and bathrooms
Hot water: which solution?
The best hot water solution depends on your heating, the number of bathrooms and how much hot water you use at the same time. A family with two bathrooms has different needs from a one-person flat.
- Electric water heater: simple, but more expensive to run.
- Cylinder on the boiler or heat pump: the heating appliance also heats the tap water.
- Combi boiler: heats water the moment you open the tap.
- Solar water heater: solar collectors preheat the water, the boiler or heat pump tops it up.
The solar water heater
Solar collectors on the roof use the sun’s free heat to warm the water in a storage cylinder. That cuts the gas, oil or electricity used for hot water. The boiler or heat pump tops up when the sun is not enough.
A solar water heater is not the same as solar panels: solar panels make electricity, a solar water heater makes hot water. The two can be combined.

Frequently asked questions
My hot water runs out quickly. What can I do?
Often the cylinder is too small for the household, or a combi boiler cannot cope with several taps at once. We look at your usage and suggest a solution, such as a bigger cylinder or a different combination with your heating.
Do you also come out for a leak or a breakdown?
Yes. Call us for an emergency repair and we will see how quickly we can come out.
