For property managers: shared installations in good hands

A shared heating system serves dozens of residents at once. You need an installer who services to plan, responds quickly to faults and reports clearly to the property manager and the owners’ association.

  1. Plant room: one or more boilers or heat pumps for the whole building, often in cascade so they back each other up.
  2. Risers carry the hot water to every floor.
  3. Per flat: a heat interface unit or meter so the costs can be shared fairly.
  4. Control and monitoring of the whole installation.

What we do for apartment buildings

Maintenance contract

Periodic servicing of the plant room within the legal intervals, with certificates per appliance and a short report for the property manager.

Faults and emergency repairs

One number to call when something fails. We find the cause and keep the property manager informed.

Replacing the plant room

New condensing boilers in cascade, a hybrid solution or a shared heat pump, matched to the building.

Quotes for the general meeting

A clear quote with alternatives, so the owners can make a well-informed decision.

Shared or individual?

In an apartment building, heating is either shared (one plant room for the whole building) or individual (a boiler per flat). With a shared installation, a meter or heat interface unit per flat measures consumption so costs are shared fairly.

A shared plant room with several boilers in cascade has a big advantage: if one unit fails, the others keep running. When replacing it, we also look at whether a (partial) switch to a heat pump is possible.

Clear arrangements

  • A fixed servicing schedule agreed with the property manager.
  • Certificates and reports you can pass on or file straight away.
  • Residents are notified in advance if the heating has to be switched off.
  • Plumbing, hot water and ventilation in the common areas too.

Frequently asked questions

Who is responsible for servicing a shared boiler?

For a shared installation, the property manager arranges servicing on behalf of the owners’ association. An individual boiler in a flat is the user’s responsibility.

Can you prepare a quote for the general meeting?

Yes. We visit the building, inspect the plant room and prepare a quote with alternatives and a clear explanation.
